As we rejoice in the New Year, we must not forget that there are people whose greatest gifts are not material items, but lifesaving nutrients from Vitamin Angels, an organization with the mission to prevent malnutrition. Makers Nutrition was honored to hold an in-office charity event to contribute as much as possible, ultimately collecting over $2,000 to contribute to Vitamin Angels. The money raised is a direct reflection of what the Makers Nutrition team finds not only important, but necessary.
“One malnourished mother or child is one too many,” said Stephen Finnegan, Executive Vice President at Makers Nutrition. “We have given to Vitamin Angels in the past, and found that our principles overlap. Allowing employees to dress casually each day they donated definitely prompted a bigger donation, but knowing that Vitamin Angels would be serving so many women and children in need was more than enough.” Makers Nutrition proudly matched the amount raised and the team couldn’t be happier with the result.
