Makers Nutrition has collectively donated an abundance of non-perishable food and household items to Island Harvest Food Bank.
This Thanksgiving, the team at Makers Nutrition wanted to go the extra mile not just for its clients, but for its neighbors. Knowing that thousands are facing hunger, the company decided to hold an in-house food drive to collect as much as possible. The goal? To make this Thanksgiving bountiful for many and provide the most-needed items for fellow Long Islanders.
Island Harvest Food Bank has helped and continues to help change lives and the Long Island community by working to end hunger. With so many facing tough times financially, this food bank is exactly the sort of charitable organization that ought to be donated to, so they can further lift individuals and their families.
“Our goal this holiday was to directly donate food and household items our community needs most,” said Director of Multimedia Marketing Rosemary Tambini. “And who better than Island Harvest to facilitate delivering these items to the individuals who need them most. It is wonderful knowing that Island Harvest is out there every day making a difference, and we are just proud to contribute to their great efforts in helping others.” This is Makers Nutrition’s fourth time giving back to Island Harvest Food Bank, and the team encourages all local companies to donate what they can. Any amount matters and can make for a happier holiday for those in need.
